Nothing on this site is behind this form. Every fix is on its page, free, and stays that way. This is just how you reach us.
Three things are especially worth sending:
- A correction
- If a step is wrong, out of date, or does not match the part you actually have in front of you, tell us. Say which page. We would rather fix it than have it read well.
- Something a tradesperson told you
- The cheap part, the small habit, the thing mentioned on the way out the door. That is the whole reason this site exists, and most of it is not written down anywhere.
- A symptom we have not covered
- If you looked for something and it was not here, that is useful to know. It tells us what to write next.
One thing we cannot do is diagnose your specific unit by email. We are not standing in front of it, and guessing from a description is how people end up replacing a part that was working. For that you want someone who can see it.
